What exactly is an EchoTag Memory card?
An Memories card is a personalised NFC card that opens a video or audio when tapped with a smartphone.
Each card is handmade, programmed, and tested to ensure your memory plays instantly.
How do I upload my photo or video?
After checkout, you’ll receive a link to our upload form where you can send your media.
Once uploaded, we create your EchoTag by hand and confirm everything before shipping.
Do I need to send the card back if I want to update it?
No.
All rewrites and updates are done remotely.
Your physical card stays with you, we simply update the link behind it.
Will my video play automatically when tapped?
Yes.
On Android, it usually opens instantly.
On iPhone, a small banner appears at the top of the screen, tap it, and your memory opens.
This is normal iPhone behaviour.
What file size or length should my video be?
For the smoothest playback:
- Under 20MB
- 720p resolution
- 30 seconds or less (recommended)
If your video is larger, we’ll optimise it for you.
How long does it take to make my card?
We typically create and send out EchoTag cards within 1–3 business days.
Every card is handmade and individually tested, so quality comes first.
How durable is the card?
Our cards are made from premium PVC and are designed to last years.
They are water resistant, won’t fade easily, and the NFC chip does not degrade over time.
Will the memory link ever stop working?
Your EchoTag ID and video link are backed up and protected.
As long as your card is not physically damaged, the memory will continue working for many years.
Does the other person need an app?
No app required.
Just tap the card to the back of any NFC enabled phone and the memory opens in the browser.
Can I order more than one card with the same memory?
Yes.
You can buy pair bundles or request additional copies anytime.
All cards can link to the same memory for family or gifts.
Do you ship internationally?
At the moment we ship within the UK, but international shipping options are coming soon.
What if I make a mistake or want to change something after ordering?
No problem.
Just reply to your confirmation email and we’ll adjust your memory before the card is created.
Can I use this as a gift?
Absolutely, EchoTags make incredibly meaningful gifts.
You can upload your own video, or send the upload link to someone else.
What happens if the card gets lost or damaged?
Your memory is still safe.
We can create a replacement card with the same EchoTag ID for a reduced price.
